Bartlett/Newman

Can anyone share any info on JOHN BARTLETT found on 1810 Richmond Co., Va. Census? John is listed as being 45+ years of age with 3 males 0-10, 3 males 10-16, 1 female 0-10, 1 female 10-16, 3 females 16-26, 1 female 26-45, and 1 female 45+. I am grasping at straws in attempting to locate the parents of my gg grandfather, JOHN NEWMAN BARTLETT b 1805 in Va. John m. SARAH PURSLEY BARCLAY in 1833 in Mo. The couple had nine children before John d in 1853 in Henry Co., Mo. I am guessing that his mother could have had the surname of Newman. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
