Looking for anyone who may make a connection to a Newton Jasper McDonald born 1872.From information on one of his son's birth certificates he list his place of birth as Richmond,Virginia. The mother of Newton would have been Louisa Covington daughter of John Dockery Covington and Susan McEachern of early Richmond County, North Carolina. I have tried everything in North Carolina as far as the county his birth mother was from to see what I could find on the same with no luck. His mother would have been married before to a William Tart from possibly North or South Carolina. I have found reference to their marriage in Richmond County,NC. Is there any chance of the McDonald's in the area of the time being of the same line. With all the contacts I have made here in NC, none seem to relate. I would be thankful for any help or leads, suggestions at all on this Newton Jasper McDonald. He would be my Grandfather.
