Molecular Genealogy Research Project

Genealogy professionals from the Brigham Young University Center for Molecular Genealogy and the Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation will be visiting Richmond and Chesterfield Virginia. At least 200 volunteers are needed. You must be at least 18 years old, bring with you a copy of your complete 4 generation chart and willing to donate 10 cc's of blood for DNA. They will be building a world wide data base of over 100,000 participants. The information, when the study is completed, will be made available to genealogists to help determine relatedness of individuals, families, tribal groups and populations. The dates and time are: Friday August 23 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at 4601 N. Bailey Bridge Rd in Midlothian, Va. and Saturday August 24 from 9:00 am - 12 noon at 5600 Monument Avenue in Richmond.
