Hi Mary:

After getting your e-mail, I logged onto and saw your posting. I've already sent you an e-mail with the detailed family tree that I have. From your posting, we are indeed looking for the same folks. I think we've made a connection. I'm excited! I've always been a little shaky on Alice's lastname. No one could tell me whether it was GREEN or not. I see that you have her down as a MURPHY or HUNTER. Myrtle Bell Williams-Hackley told me that Alice was a GREEN - but we can get together and go over that. The GREEN family was suppose to be a rich white family who owned land and slaves in Rappahannock. Mr. ? GREEN supposedly baught a slave woman who was half white and half mexican. He and this slave supposedly had a child named Alice. Now since this was in the middle of the when there were slaves, she could have changed names a couple of times, who knows? Give me your thoughts on it.
