my great grandfather was Thomas Jefferson Rogers born 25, Nov. 1849,Pulaski Va. (some say 1850 and 51)
Served in Confederate Army (may have lied about age to get in)
(I was told he signed up in Newbern, Va.)
received a pension for service, applied in Ark.
someone told me his father and mother may have been George Rogers and Victoria Belle, can't find them, had a sister Jane who stayed in Virginia,
T.J. moved on to Tn. Met his wife Sarah M. Lawson and started a family, they are all in the Hawkins Co Tn. 1880 Census, T.J. 29
Moved to Missouri, was in Okl. by 1900 T.J. 50, Sarah had died and he had a new wife, Sarah E. Potts.
In 1910 in Kansas age 60,
1920 age 70, in Lonoke, Arkansas, he died there Feb. 1921 I need his records from early years up to 1880.
