Hello All:
I'm trying to find out where or with whom my father was living with during the time of the 1930 census in Virginia. He was born in Max Meadows, VA in 1914, but by 1930 most of his siblings were living with families in New River Depot (Pulaski) County, Virginia. He might be listed on the census or other paperwork as Randolph, Randall or Randle Hill. It's possible that he was listed or the 1930 census, but with another family's last name. I found this to be true of one of his sisters on the 1930 census. I have searched the 1930 census myself of Pulaski, Wythe, Montgomery counties to include the city of Radford, VA. My dad's father was Lee Dalton Hill and his mother Lizzie Hill. I believe that Lizzie had died prior to 1930 and the children dispersed to families in Pulaski county. Why Pulaski County or New River Depot? The oldest sibling, William Edward Hill settled in New River as had stated a family of his own by 1930. I can only assume he brought his siblings with him and ask others to assist at rearing them. Any help or assistance in identiying my dad Randolph
Hill would be very appreciative. Dad was Negro and knowing this might be helpful in distinguishing him from any other Randolph Hill's in the mentioned locations or locals. Thanks for your time and efforts.
