Looking for connections to a Carter family , husband unknown of Liddy/Lydia Carter. She was found in Wythe ,Co.VA., in 1830 and 1831. Records of her children were found of them going to school in 1830, and 1831. School may have been located western part of Wythe county. Her children found were:
John-b. about 1816, 14yrs.in 1830
Matilda-b. about 1818, 12yrs.,in 1831
William-b.about 1823, 8ys.in 1831
If I have the right Carter family for Matilda, then this Matilda Carter listed above was married in Smyth county Virginia to John Brown, in 1841.
There may have been more siblings unknown. Any information on Liddy/Lydia Carter's husband, children , would be appreciated! Diana
