In 1870, I find Russell King, wife Phoebe and some of their children, Charles, Robert and John, who is now shown as 10 yrs old. There is a William King below Russell and his wife who was also in Pulaski Co VA. He was 23 at the time and I think he just had to be their oldest son since he shows up in Knox Co TN with them. Perhaps John S. King lived with them after Russell and his wife died, which was probably in Knox Co TN John probably married in the early 1880's. I have tried to locate him, but cannot. Do you know the names of his children. How do you know who John Samuel married but give us no further data? Where did they get married; what state?
