James Adair was in Montgomery Co VA. First appeared in 1789 tax list. At one time (before 1800) he was located in that part of Montgomery Co that became Giles Co in 1808. Go to www.mapquest.com and type in Adair Run and you will find the location at the junction of the New River and East River right near the WV state line.
