Georg Christoff Oechslen

Georg Christoff Oechslen married Maria Margretha Muller on September 27, 1723, in Bohl, Pfaltz (Germany).
They came to the United States in 1727.
I have been told that she died in "1740 in Loudoun County, VA. But when I contacted Loudoun County,I was advised that there was no "Loudoun County,VA" in 1740. That I needed to go back to the original county for information on this family.
If I have this correctly, Fairfax County was formed in 1742, from the northern part of Prince William County, and in 1757, the northwestern 2/3's of Fairfax County became Loudoun County.
So it appears that if Mrs. Oechslen died in "1740", she died in Prince William County, VA.
But does this detective work lead me to a death date for Maria Margretha (Muller) Oechslen?
Puzzled in Minnesota, MaryLu
