DITTENGIN Parish Records - Prince Wm Wills-HELP?

I recently found information that THOMAS B.[Boswell] ADAMS (b. Oct 1779 - d. 1836 Copiah Co MS) was a resident of Dumfries prior to 1801 before he moved to Fredericksburg and/or Orange. I am searching for his parents, his birthplace and any pertinent information. He was probably in DITTENGIN PARISH. In a 1799 Religious Petition for that Parish there is listed: GAVAN ADAMS and VELENTINE ADAMS; also JOSEPH SHUMATE.
On this forum someone noted that Historic Dumfries, Inc., Dumfries VA published in 1976 "Records of Dittengin Parish, Prince William County Virginia." I have no access to Prince William or Dumfries and know precious little about either location. CAN SOME NICE PERSON OUT THERE HELP DIRECT ME AND/OR DO A LOOK-UP IN THE "RECORDS OF DITTENGIN PARISH," PUBLISHED IN 1976? Thank you very much. Beverley in KY
