May have the right person, may not. My 3xgreat grandfather, James Godfrey married a young widow with two sons. Her name, Mrs. Mary Bonney had been previously married to a David Bonney. David Bonney died in 1831 and left two small children, John Bonney born 1828 and David Bonney born 1831 (approx ages from 1860 census). James Godfrey became their guardian upon marriage to their mother.
