There is a early William Aldridge in Prince George County about 1713 who sells his esstate to a daughter and his son WIlliam Aldrige near Second Swamp a branch of the Blackwater River.

But I did not find any Aldridges in Amelia COunty so the must have staid in Prince George County.

There is a mention of some n the 1760's in the albemarle Parish register whcih must be a branch.

From the Bath Parish Register
Mary dau of Peter & Elizabeth Aldridge born Feb 22nd 1739/40

Joanna dau of William & Ellis Aldridge born Jan 10th 1741/42

John son of Peter & Elizabeth Aldridge born Jun 14th 1743

Mille dau of Peter & Elizabeth Aldridge born Jan 25th 1744/45
