City Point was an area that is now incorporated by the town of Hopewell, VA and is still in Prince George Co VA.
The City Point land was owned by the Eppes family in the 1700's. It was located on the James River just across from Charles City Co VA. Even to this day, the island in the James at this point is called Epps Island. I have family that live in Hopewell.
