Do any of you knowledgeable researchers know if Joseph Venable (Ulster Scot) of Snow Hill, Somerset Co, MD, in the 1680s, William Venable in the same timeframe who had a 1688 construction contract to repair the courthouse, have descendents who migrated to Virginia (Prince Edward Co or Spotsylvania Co, VA)?

I am searching for the parents of my elusive ancestor, Joseph Venable, b. 1725/1735 in unknown place. He appeared in Spotsylvania Co, VA, in the 1740s, and married (1) possibly a Mary Ann LNU and (2) Lucy Davenport. Joseph's son William (probably by first wife was born 1755 in Prince Edward Co, VA). William's children were Mary Ann Venable and James Duncan Venable.

Thank you for any response!
