States: Virginia: Prince Edward
Seeking land deed or any other available information on the family of Casey Askew (sometimes spelled Asque, Ascue), which we know was in Prince Edward County at the end of the Revolution. Casey’s family of eleven members is in 1783 and 1785 Prince Edward Census/Tax Lists. By 1788, the family had removed to Wilkes Co., GA, presumably to lands that Casey was awarded for his Revolutionary War service in the 4th VA Regulars (Capt. Morton’s Co.).
