Janice,
I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure Charles Anderson's Tavern was located at an intersection, that is now known as Worsham (about 5 miles south of Farmville). King's Tavern was about one mile north at the turn off to Hampden Sidney College, and is known as Kingsville. There are still Convenience/grocery stores at both of these locations.
Check "History of Prince Edward County, Virginia, from its earliest settlements through its establishment in 1754 to its bicentennial year" by Herbert Clarence Bradshaw.
