Mike, Vikky wilburn Anders here again...As you can see, I am having a busy night looking at your many postings...love it!
First of all Unlike the Hughes, the Wilburns of colonial VA (at least 90% of them, if not 100%)descend from one line....So whenever you see any postings of Wilburns in VA..you know that they started out in Middlesex VA circa 1700 and by 1751 were in Goochland, VA...I point this out, because I am convince that Richard Willbourn b. circa 1717 was married to a Hughes woman...at least one of his wives was a Hughes...Richard was over a hundred when he died in Highland, OH in 1820...and he was related to Randolph Hughes and had a grandson named Randolph Wilburn...Randolph Hughes b. 1786 VA lived in the Wilburn household in 1850...Pike Co OH..next to Highland, OH..Richard Wilburn was the son of Richard Wilburn and Ann Whitlock..who would be b. circa 1695.
And Richard Willbourn b. circa 1717 also had a son named Richard...So we are talking about three generations of Richard Wilburns...now I will give you some of their allied families up to 1810.
These known allied families include:
And of course, those good looking Hughes...
I just wanted to share this in the event any of this makes sense.
