The Davis research has only led me to my g grandfather Doctor (given name) Davis and g grandmother, Elizabeth Ledbetter. I'm sory but I don't have any information on Doctor Davis' mother, father or siblings. Looks like I have hit my brick wall. At my first opportunity, (probably in Spring) I plan to go to Appomattox Court House to do a little research on my own. The greatest problem is that just about all records were destroyed or burned during the Civil War. I hope you find your Davis. I wish you much luck in your research and if you should come across my Davis/Ledbetter connection I would be most grateful for your information.
