I notice that on GenForum's Owen Family Forum is message #5043, posted Oct. 5, 2009. It has information attributed to Isabelle Cabiness of Chase City, Va. on Wiley W. Owen "born in 1803 in Halifax Co., Va." who died "Sept. 8, 1876 in Pittsylvania Co., Va." Wiley is reportedly a son of Julius & Judith Owen.

The listing notes that Wiley W. Owen married Mary Ann Woodson in 1824. It goes on to list 11 children for them. Do you descend from one of the 11 children? Are you tracking records of descendants of all 11? Do you have spouses for them?

Here is information on one who might be a little harder to find since her marriage was not in Pittsylvania Co., Va.

Mary E. Owen (b. c1832 in Va., d. after 1880 Pittsylvania Co., Va. census) married 28 March 1856 in Caswell County, NC to Berryman Hall (1830-later 1850s). Berryman was a gr-gr-gr-uncle of mine. He and Mary had only one daughter, Lucy Ann (Hall) Lewis (1857-1936) wife of William Barksdale Lewis (1857-1946). Both are buried in Pittsylvania Co., Va. as shown in published gravestone records of that county.

Mary E. (Owen) Hall was a daughter of Wiley Owen & Mary Woodson, who mother was Nancy Adams wife of Drury Woodson, with Nancy Adams a daughter of Elkanah ("Cain"/"Elkannah") Adams.
