There is a relatively new Hampton Inn in Gretna, about 12 miles north of Chatham. San Marcos is a very good Mexican restaurant on Rte 29 just south of Chatham in the Tightsqueeze area. In Danville, south of Chatham, I would recommend O'Kellys, Kickback Jack's and han's restaurants.
Danville also has the Americam Armored Foundation, one of the county's largest collections of tanks, other armored vehickles and military memorabilia.
