New Pittsylvania County History Website
Posted by: Chris (ID *****0763) Date: August 26, 2011 at 10:40:07

I just wanted to let everyone know about my new Pittsylvania County history website:

http://PittsylvaniaCountyHistory.com/

The initial focus of the site is Pittsylvania's eighteenth and nineteenth century military history, including the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, and the Civil War.

The site will also include photos and transcriptions of many old cemeteries in Pittsylvania County, genealogical notes on Pittsylvania families, and birth/marriage/death records.

There is a database included with all Pittsylvania County marriages from 1767 - 1850 in the "Vital Records" section.

I plan to add new pages and information as frequently as possible and I hope you find something interesting.

http://PittsylvaniaCountyHistory.com/

Thanks,
Chris
