Chris,

Thank you for all your searching for me. I have copy of his Death Certificate and all it says for burial is Long Island, VA, 6/26/1925 as signed by the undertaker in Richmond, VA.

Some other last names of this Layne family I have run across are: Lane, Lain, Laine; however, the official last name on death certificate and several earlier federal census records is LAYNE. All of the documents, telegrams, and pieces of paper between the soldier's home and his son, Walter E. Layne, has the name Layne.

Please, just let me know if in the future you happen to run across info on my grt-grt-grandfather Pleasant David Layne burial site.
