Hello,

I am just starting to compile my family's information.

We trace back to Moses I who was married to an Obedience. I do not have her last name, however I have a birth year of 1757 and death in 1850. Is it safe to assume she is a Ryburn?

Family notes state Moses I (1760-9/1831) in Russell County.

Married Montgomery County, VA 1783.

Owned 191 acres on Little River Branch of New River in Floyd County, VA.

10 Children

These are family notes, I have no hard records at this time.

I found your post while looking up Ryburn Parsley, Moses I grandson. I have a note that says he was a Brigadier General in Confederate Army. He moved to Mississippi(?) to avoid Marcum-Muncy Feud. Can you corroborate?
