Hello,
I came across your query regarding your Elliott family out of Pittsylvania Co., VA. I am pleased to inform you that I have found a little bit of info, but regret to inform you that you may or may not already have this in your files. In the 1840 U.S. Census, appears a Elias Elliott, living in Hamilton Township, Farquier, Virginia. I do not know who was in the household, as the family did not appear until 1850. In the Mecklenburg Co., Va Birth Records, I find, Elias Elliott, born 27 May 1875, son of Elias & Panthea, located on pg. 240. There is a Raliegh King Elliott in the NC Death Certificate Index (1909-1975) who died 8 Mar 1944 in Granville, NC. Father was Elias; Mother was Norah Owen. Wife was Mary Wiley; cause of death was massive swelling of brain.
