22 Sept 1790 - John Pemberton married Ginsey Johnson. Do you think this was "your" John ?

The first tax list for Pitt., 1767 had a John Pemberton, constable.

One John wa in Grainger County, Tenn. in 1804, another in Sullivan County 1796. Grainger was a favorite destination for Pitt. families ca 1800.

Thomas Pemberton came from Pennsylvania to the Pitt. area in earlier days.

Perhaps I'll find more later.
