The online/Ancestry.com/Revolutionary War Rolls, 1775-1783 (National Archives Microfilm Publication M246) lists a James McDaniel as a private from Virginia. A James McDaniel/McDonald is evident in a Will dated October 15, 1810 for Pittsylvania County. Could you please help provide information as to where I might start/determine if these two McDaniels are one in the same? Thank you. Fred Samson
