Am looking for help in my search. Does anyone know if there is a George W. Lawson(b. between 1858 & 1862)of Patrick County who might have moved to Carroll County by 1880? His parents might have been Lafayette Lawson & Lucinda D.(don't know her maiden name). Lafayette might have moved to Carroll also and died there in 1879 or 1880.
Any help would be appreciated. My g-grandfather George W. married Elizabeth W. Tolbert about 1883 and settled down in the Woodlawn area of Carroll County. I just can't find out where my George came from to get me going in my search again--thus far I have only been able to use on-line sites to search. Am hoping for some free time to visit library and Courthouse of Carroll soon.
But if anyone here has any ideas I would greatly appreciate the help!
