I believe the first available cenus for Patrick is 1820. Think the early VA censuses were burned/lost - almost all 1810 census for the whole U. S. is burned/lost.

There are tax lists on USGenweb for Patrick and Hnery cos.,VA for the 1780s forward - and an 1810 for Patrick Co., VA. Parts of Henry became Patrick when Patrick was formed.

As she said at times the Patrick Co., VA people had land reaching over the border in NC so can be found in Stokes or Surry Co., NC. Many of Patrick Co.,VA residents were married and buried in NC - went to church there as early on there were n close towns in Patrick Co.,Va.
