Early Bowman land transactions in Patrick Co VA 2

I have tried to transcribe the deeds exactly as they appeared to me in the Xeroxes of the original court records, including lack of punctuation.

The land sold here was was in Henry Co VA when it was patented by Wm. Donathan in 1783.

Deed Book 1 p 321 William Donathan to Peter Boman 12/18/1788
This indenture made this eighteenth day of December & in the year of our lord
One thousand seven hundred and eighty eight Between William Donathan of the county of Wilkes of the state of North Carolina on the one part & Peter Boman of Henry County in the state of Virginia of the other part. Witnesseth that the sd. William Donathan for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds currant money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Peter Boman before the signing & delivering of these presents the merate where of the said Donathan doth acnoledge himself fully satisfied contented and Payd for every part and parcel of a sartin tract or piece of land situate lying and being in the county of Henry on the waters of Squirrel Creek containing 261 acres and bounded as followeth to wit, Beginning at a white oak on the south side of the said creek on the mane spur of the mountain thence new line North 139 poles crossing the creek and a branch to a white oak. N69W 168 poles crossing three branches to a chestnut oak. N60W 190 poles to a popular. S20W 76 poles crossing squirrel creek and a branch to a chestnut tree. S85W 19 poles to a hicory. S12W 64 poles to a forked chestnut oak on the top of the aforesaid spur. Thence along the same S36W 40 poles to a red oak. South seventy four degrees and a half East two hundred and eighty eight poles to the beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to said Peter Boman and his heirs & or assines forever to have & to hold & Peaceably injoy the above mentioned parcel or tract of land with all houses orchards woods ways & water courses for the only proper use & behoof of him the said Peter Boman and his heirs & asines & I William Donathan do warrant & defend the above mentioned tract of land and premises from the just & Lawfull claims or clames of any person or persons whatsoever against me or my heirs & I also bind myself to make any further right or deed of conveyance of the above mentioned land & premises he the P Boman or his heirs shall lawfully require. As witnessed my hand and sealed with my seal this day and year first above written.

The within written indenture was proven by the oaths of the witnesses thereto to be the act and deed of the within named William Donathan and the same was ordered to be recorded by the court.
