If you are researching a Wright line in Orange Co or any county in VA (1600s-1800), please contact me. My ggg-grandfather was born in Virginia according to his son's response on census records. My gg-grandfather, Arthur Wright said he was b. 1828 in GA, but father was born in VA, and his mother was born in SC. Another researcher told me there were a lot of Wrights in Organge Co, VA. There was an Arthur Wright in Wilkes Co, GA by the late 1700s, so he could have been a father or grandfather of my Arthur. Wilkes County is right across the SC line. My Arthur listed his occupation as a carpenter/cabinet maker. He named a son Thomas and another William, as did his daughter, my g-grandmother.
