I'm looking for land in which my ancesters, Benjamin Clardy & Millicent Norman, owned a plantation. It was in Nottoway County, Virginia. The only landmarks given were in the wills of each of them: "...Plantation where on I now live and all my land that lies over the Northside of Wintermake Creek..." Does anyone know where I might find "Wintermake Creek". The other references is as follows: "...the plantation where on he now lives and fifty acres joining of it beginning at William Wells line and running a west course to a corner line between the land whereon I now live and hte land that my son Henry Clardy purchased of Joseph Bevil...". Benjamin's will is dated 1791, he died in 1792. Millicent's will is dated 29 September 1800 and she died in 1803. Her will was filed in Nottoway County Courts January 5, 1801. We plan a trip to Virginia, the last of May & would like to find this spot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Notify Administrator about this message?
