Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am looking for information on Jeffress' Artillery Battery (a.k.a. Nottoway Artillery) for the time period of the Atlanta Siege (July 23-August 27, 1864). I already have the information from the book about the Nottoway Artillery in the Virginia Historical Series by Jeffrey Weaver.
I am particularly interested in the following soldier's date of being killed in action or wounding, their fates, pensions, etc.:
Killed in Action: Privates James Van Dyke, Albert A. Sheffield, W.W. Rivers, and John Higginbotham.
Wounded Severely: Lieutenant A.W. Robertson, Privates E.S. Redwine, Thomas Saunders, Zachariah Elliott, Edward A. Snellings, James M. Herndon (later died of wounds), J.W. Barrow, A.M. Barrow, and James M. Mathews.
Wounded slightly: Lieutenant E.W. Jones, Privates F.D. Hawkes, Green B. Robertson, and Henry Rooney.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
