I have some basic information but I'm having trouble going backward with this family. Any help would be most appreciated! I finally found the marriage record indexed for James P. Haynie to Lucy (Lucinda) Watts - Northumberland Co. VA 18 Dec 1833. James b. 12 Dec 1809 VA d. 31 Dec 1881 OH Lucinda Watts b. 22 Nov 1810 VA d. 23 April 1881 OH Children: Margaret Ann b. 1834 VA d. 1928 OH(married Horace Adams) Citester Benjamin b. 1837 VA d. 1839 VA James b. 1839 VA d. 1886 OH William Henry b. 1841 OH d. 1862 OH Joseph Cyrus (Josias) b. 1843 OH d. 1864 OH Lydia (Lidie) Spencer b. 1846 OH d. 1925 OH (married William Barnhart) David Thomas b. 1847 OH d. 1895 OH Mary Jane b. 1850 OH d. 1925 OH(married Thomas Rood) Eliza Emile b. 1852 OH d. 1931 OH (married John Wright) I pick up James and Lucinda in the 1850 OH Census. From this time on-ward I find the name spelled "Haney." Based upon the children's births, I believe they came to Ohio between 1839 and 1841. 1850 - OH Washington Co., Union Twp. 1860 - OH Washington Co., Union Twp. 1870 - OH Washington Co., Muskingum Twp. 1880 - OH Washington Co., Muskingum Twp. I have not be successful in locating the family after their marriage in either the VA or OH Census 1840. Nor have I found them in the 1830 Census in VA prior to marriage. I have no idea who Lucinda Watts' or James Haynie's parents are. I also have not been able to locate the cemetery in which they were buried. Based on the years some of their son's were born/died, it would be likely for them to have served in the Civil War. This I also can not locate. Any help would be most appreciated!
