Willard:
I have no definite info., but I would like to exchange info. because there may be connection between our two families.
Christopher Calvert was transported to Accomack Co., VA in 1636 and died 1682. The Sanders/Saunders name keeps appearing wherever the Calvert family has been. (I am also related to Pannell [variant spellings], Colson, and Cooper families which also lived in Accomack/Northampton counties).

Our families settled in what is now Franklin and Wake counties, NC. The Sanders were also there - next door neighbors, in fact. And when the Colberts (name change) moved to Elbert Co., GA, the Sanders moved with them. The town of Colbert, GA is named after Sanders Colbert.
