for the time frame you are researching, norfolk county is separate from the city and is today the CITY OF CHESAPEAKE.
Also keep in mind that Norfolk County bordered Portsmouth.

THE CITY OF NORFOLK has always been the same.
beyond that it's a lengthy story.

What specifically are you looking for ? you seem to have alot of information to start with.

what were the dates of marriages? and names of husbands?
