Off the top of my head. If I'm not mistaken some if not all of Norfolk County records are housed @ the city of Chesapeake court house off of Cedar Rd. in Chesapeake. Address: Chesapeake Clerk of Court, Municipal Center, Chesapeake, VA 23322. No building number in address.

In 1963 residents of Norfolk County who were tired of Norfolk city's annexationtons decided to form thier own city to keep Norfolk city from anexing Norfolk County land. South Norfolk County and Lower Norfolk County were formed into the city of Chesapeake. Prior to this other parts of Norfolk county were being annexed by the City of Norflok which is different from Norfolk County. Do you know the township?? For ex....township of Tanners Creek was anexed by Norfolk (city) in 1955. Township of Deep Creek became part of Chesapeake at Chesapeake's formationin in 1963. In essence only in tittle Norfolk County no longer existed as of 1963.
