1774 - HARPERs who were related to Batchelors & Pridgens----Batchelors & HARPERS were in early Norfolk County, VA.: William Batchelor (son of Stephen) was born c1774, Norfolk County, VA, died Nash County, 1805; left land to his grandson, WILLIAM JOHN BATCHELOR HARPER. He had two daughters: Mary Batchelor, b. c1764 and Nancy Batchelor, b. c1766, m. (ABNER?) HARPER.

1784-1863 - WILLIAM JOHN BATCHELOR HARPER (W. J. B. HARPER), b. c. 1784 Nash County, d. there in Nov. 1822; Married (1802) Atesihia (Atsey, Acksey, Achse) Pridgen, dau. Of David Pridgen and Mary Manning; she was b. in Nash County, 1786, d. 1863 at age 77 (ATESHIA HARPER was mentioned in father, David Pridgen’s will, Nash County WB 1;275, DATED 26 May 1814.) Their children were: SARAH, MARY WILLIAM, GEORGE H. B., HENRY C. B., BENNETT, JOHN H.,
Does anyone know anything about David Harper in Norfolk County, VA? I live in Edgecombe County, NC where he had property and is selling it.

Note: A Dorman is a witness. This is the same last name as Mary Dorman's second husband.
