At the online Library of Virginia digital library, I found a Browne-Minton Bible. It states that Mintonville is in Nansemond Co. Va. about six miles from Suffolk and about 5-6 miles from Driver on the old Norfolk Road (Nansemond Prkway). It is not far from Wilroy on the long lane that bears off to the left when going to Suffolk. It was the Ancestral home of the Mintons and Shepherds. It is now owned by Mr. Upton of Norfolk Va. as of 1985.
If you cannot find it by the online ref. above. Let me know.
Bible record Begins with Elizabeth Minton 1793-1822. I was interested in the Thomas Godwin who married Elizabeth Minton b. 1741 and their children.
