Just checked in: Suffolk in VA c 1795-1840 A Record of Lots, Lives, and Likenesses by Fillmore Norfleet for your Amos Riddick and didn't find him listed in index but did find the name Amos in this three as follows:

Gen 1: John Riddick "of the White Marsh" Quit Rent, 1704, 350 acres, Nansemond Co = _________
Gen 2: Jean Riddick (Will, 27 Jan 1752) = John Riddick (Abraham?)
Gen 3A: Isabel
Gen 3B: Rasanna
Gen 3C: Seth
Gen 3D: Amos (Nansemond Co.)
Gen 3E: Hezekiah (d 1795) of Nansemond Co. = Mary _______ Text lists children for them
Gen 3F: Daniel (d 1799) of Nansemond Co = Esther ________ Text lists children for them
Gen 3G: Micajah, Sr (Rev) (c 1731-1814) of Gates Co = Ruth Parker (8 children) Text lists children for them
Gen 3H: John, Jr (d c 1803) of Nansemond Co = Mary _______ Text lists children for then

Above as comes from text noted. I noted those with children into GEN 4 but to save space didn't list beyond Gen 3 as name Amos not in later GENs, in text tree, even as spouse name.

Might want to look in Gates Co NC as it borders VA along where Nansemond was...
