I am descended from a William Whitfield married to Elizabeth Goodman in 1713 in Gates County, NC. William came from Virginia to North Carolina. I believe he was born in Isle of Wight County in 1688. His father was probably a Matthew Whitfield. Mother ?
Any help in documenting my Williams parents will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
