I am gonna take a stab at this. But I am sure you won't have it. Here goes, I need to find out who Joel Cheatham's parents are. Joel was born ca 1765 in Amelia County, Virgina and d: Aug 1841 in DeKalbe Co., TN.. Joel married Rhoda League 14 Nov 1785 in Amelia Co., Va. (dau. of Aaron League of Amelia Co., Va.). Rhoda was born in ca 1765 Amelia Co., Va. d: before 1850 in DeKalb Co., TN..

We have our theroy as to whom Joel's father was but we would like to prove it. And as for Rhoda League, would like to know who her mother is. I know this may be impossible to get this information due to birth registration was not manditory during the time they where born. But any information would be greatly appreciated.
