Looking for info on John Arnold, Sr. born about 1747 in Spotsylvania, VA, died in Newberry Co., SC. He married Letitia ???. Supposedly his father was John Arnold II. His son was Isaac Arnold, b. about 1779 in SC. Isaac married Mary Knight daughter of Richard Knight, Jr. I'm not sure if the Arnold's Sr., II, etc. is correct. I was told it was not uncommon for a family to restart Sr., Jr. instead of I, II, III if a generation was missed but this seems backwards to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Jennifer
