Hi,
About the TURPIN Family: Michael B 1630 Yorkshire England - D 1663 Henrico Cty VA.
His son Philip I B 1655 Yorkshire England - D 1717 Henrico Cty VA - m Nov 1 1679 Elizabeth Skerme. The I's son Philip II B 1676-1704 Henrico Cty VA D 1701-1783 M 1697-1741 wife unknown. II's son Philip III B 1693-1722 Henrico Cty VA D Nov 25 1763 Chesterfield Cty VA - M Elizabeth Burton. His daugther Mary married John Winfrey. There is a Thomas Turpin SR who married a Rachel Cheatwood and had son Josiah but not certain if he was a son of Philip III or grandson (Thomas was from Bedford County).

I have bee told that there is a book in Salt Lake City, Utah, that has some info on Bedford County Families. "Our Kin" The Genealogies of Some of the Early Families Who Made History in the Founding and Developing of Bedford County Virginia by Mary Denham Ackerly and Lula Eastman Jetter Parker.

My line separates and goes along the Winfrey line after Mary. But if there is anything else I can help you with please e-mail me at TS48@AOL.com

God Bless and Good Luck

Suellen
