I apologize for the delay in this reply, but I only just saw your response today!

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, I have all of it, except the "Ringgold (Pittsylvania County, Virginia
Birth certificates list parents Death certificates should list parents
The form to apply for SS# card requests names of parents for a fee you can obtain a copy" part; thank you for that.

I verified his mother's name since I made this post. I found a small "obituary" of sorts in a newspaper archive, which verified "W. C. Guinn of Richmond" as being the son of "Mrs. Ida Bell Guinn of 642 Cabell Street, Danville." This confirmed my suspicions all along; however, it opened major questions as to who his father is/could be. I have found Ida Bell Guinn listed as single and widowed to a James and also in the household with Mollie/Mary Guinn in many postings, after WCG's birthdate, but with him not listed. I have also found Mary/Mollie Guinn in many city directories and census records also widowed to a James, and have even found Ida listed as her DAUGHTER as young as 11 years old. This would lead me to believe 1 of 2 things happened here: 1) WCG is the illegitimate child of Ida and was given HER surname; or 2) WCG the child of the Ida that is widowed to a James; and James also had a sister named Ida. I would like to believe the latter of these 2 options were in fact what happened, but I'm just unable to find anything!!
I have not yet found a burial site, nor obituaries for William Clarence Sr or his wife, Pearl Elizabeth Daniel Guinn. I did confirm WCG had a sister by the name of Emma Sue Guinn Bayne. I have located the burial plot numbers for Ida Bell Guinn and Emma Sue Guinn Baynes, which happens to be in the same family plot as Mary/Mollie S. Guinn. (These plots were also purchased by Mollie via burial plot deed, at the time of her son's death in 1906-R.S. or Robert or Lee Guinn.)

If anyone can provide any information whatsoever, I would greatly appreciate it!
