Michael Blaine Hale was born in Russell County, Virginia, think the year was 1955.

Berlie (sometimes misspelled as Burly) was his (and my) grandmother.

N.D. is Nathan Delano Hale, married to Berlie Church. Grandpa died in 1959.

Rilda Lee Hale was my mother (half-sister to Blaine).

Yes, Blaine was an out of wedlock child. We never knew his father. Uncle Blaine had a restaurant in Lebanon, Russell County, Virginia, around 1961. After he and Violet Hale divorced, it appears that she moved to Florida, and after that, the trail is cold.
