I don't have the answer to your question but... Monongalia Co and Marion Co became part of West Virginia in 1863 when WV became a state.

It may help you to look at the WV website at http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_select.aspx

The info may not be there but it may be worth a shot.

Also, Marion Co was created on January 14, 1842, from parts of Monongalia and Harrison Counties.
