Confederate 53rd VA Infantry, Co. I - David T. Dalton
Posted by: Sandy Stone (ID *****3348) Date: August 12, 2012 at 16:38:39

I am looking for information that would help me to determine if this David T. Dalton was the same one who was married on Nov. 24, 1859, in Pittsylvania Co., VA, to America J. Hundley. He was born about 1837 and was the son of Booker and Nancy (Mayhew) Dalton. He and America had two children before his death: Nannie Kate in 1861 and David James in 1862. David T. died sometime before 1868 when America was married for a second time to Francis McMinnis. I am hoping to find David's date and place of death, and I am wondering if he was killed during the Civil War.
