John Leonidas Vick wrote a Vick history which includes information on some early VA families and some information on early NC. John was a descendant of Joseph Vick of IOW Co. The history mosty covers his VICKs in KY in the 1800s but includes VA surnames Barnes, Reese & Fires as well as a perspective on the Nat Turner Slave Revolt of 1831.
