Need information on Jeremiah Pierce, born in Orange Co., VA
about 1740. Who were his parents? Some say his father was William or his brother. Jeremiah was in the Wythe/Montgomery VA area in 1760s and 1770s. He was in the county records of Fincastle, Botetourt (later Wythe/Montgomery) as surveyor, constable, landowner, Captain in Militia. granted land for serving in French & Indian War, was in Lincoln Co.,Kentucky before 1783. His daughter, Betsy, m. Thomas Buford.
